Nursing practice involves four areas related to health
1. Health promotion – helps the individual find or develop resources to maintain or enhance health condition
2. Health maintenance – involves maintaining the structure and functionality of person
3. Health restoration – some interventions are done in this focus to restore health condition
4. Care of the dying – hospice care comes with this focus of nursing as patients are assisted to peaceful death
