I already got my Nurse Licensure Exam rating and my strong points were with Nursing Practice 1, 2 and 5.
Most of the topics included in those nursing practice tests were from Community Health Nursing, Fundamentals of Nursing, Maternal and Child Nursing, Integrated Maternal and Child Illnesses, Psychiatric Nursing and Medical Surgical Nursing. Hmmm, as you've noticed, three tests comprised almost all the topics for the Nurse Licensure Exam; meaning, the exam will not only focus on a certain area for test 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, but it's a combi of all those subjects. Hard to think but to study and learning by heart is the most effective way of passing the NLE.
In this blog, I will be focusing on those strong points I have and I will bring more info that will be useful for the examination and learning.

Instructions: Initial Registration at PRC
Initial registrants should come personally to the PRC Central Office or to the nearest Regional Office to file his/her application for registration and to affix his/her signature in the registry book.
All Registration Certificates and PRC ID shall be claimed by the licensee personally at the Central Office or the Regional Office where the application for the same has been filed. If there is an unavoidable need for a representative, he must present his/her identification paper with picture and a Special Power of Attorney.
Requirements
1) Duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
2) Current Community Tax Certificate (cedula)
3) Two pcs. passport size pictures with name tag (for Oath Form and Certificate of Registration)
4) One pc. 1”x1” picture in plain background with complete name tag (for Registry of Professionals)
5) Two sets of metered documentary stamps (for Oath Form and Certificate of Registration)
6) One (1) short brown envelope with name and profession

Registration at PRC
I just passed the Nurse Licensure Exam (NLE) last November 2008. After long months of waiting for the results - I passed, now, I'm registered at PRC Davao, next, the oath taking!!!
Hmmm... How was the experience? The experience was better than applying for the NLE. When we are going to compare the requirements for registration from the requirements for NLE, it differs a lot. Hmmmm... For the registration, you only need your new cedula (community tax certificate), 2 passport size and 1 1x1 ID picture with name tag with white back, short brown envelop with your name and profession, and of course your money - you will be paying for two documentary stamps, the oath form and for the registration as well. LOL!
Like what I wrote earlier, it's been a long time before I registered at PRC. What took it so long? The scheduling of names made it that long. I thought that the registration will be done immediately after the release of the results last February 20, but unfortunately, a schedule has to be followed. Partly, it's a nice idea to make the registration orderly, but the excitement in seeing the exam results die especially if your surname is one of the last letters of the alphabet.
Anyways, the experience is still good at least the registration is already done and so the waiting for the oath taking is what I'm after now.
REMEMBER: (1) If you are a graduate nurse, you have to take the nurse licensure exam to fulfill your wished profession as NURSE; (2) prepare your exhibit forms - be it notarized, transcript of records (TOR), nurse application form (NAF), cedula (community tax certificate), Summary of RLE Records, and documentary stamps to be used; (3) have an extensive review and read substantial info with regards to the whereabouts in nursing; (4) take the exam and aspire to be topnotcher (at least if there's a fallback, you can say you'll pass), (5) if you passed, know the schedule of registration and oath taking to be called a FULL-PLEDGE NURSE. (6)If you failed, never say die, you still have a chance to take it once again.
Believe in yourself... Study well... Pray...

COMMUNICATOR – communicating that shapes relationships with the nurses and clients, nurses and support persons (these identify not only the family members but friends as well), and nurses and colleagues (this will facilitate the continuity of care for the patient).
TEACHER – learning experience facilitated by the nurse (considered to be the health education / health promotion for the patient)
COUNSELOR – the role that helps the patient recognizes and copes with problems.
CLIENT ADVOCATE – in simple terms, this is protecting the client’s rights.
CHANGE AGENT – initiating changes and helps in modification in their lifestyle.
LEADER – uses interpersonal influence in making decisions and achieving goals.

According to Nightingale, nursing is an act of UTILIZING THE ENVIRONMENT of the patient to assist him in his recovery. As you can observe I highlighted ‘utilizing the environment’; these are the key words that would identify Nightingale’s definition of nursing.
The American Nurses Association (ANA), as well as the Philippine Nurses Association (PNA) follows the definition that nursing is the diagnosis and treatment of human responses to actual or potential health problems.
